Think about "loneliness"

I would like to think about "Wabi" "Wabi" is a noun form of the verb "Sabu", which originally means that it has deteriorated over time (aging). In turn, the kanji "loneliness" was applied, and it came to represent a quiet state when there were no people. Similarly, the Chinese character "rust" is applied to the "rust" that appears on the surface of the metal. In English, the beauty of patina (patina) is mentioned as similar, and the atmosphere created by patina is also expressed as patina.
The meaning of the word is the change of matter due to aging, and the quiet appearance without people.

The concept of loneliness seems to have existed for a long time than the concept of wabi-sabi , and it is said that there is a description in the grass.
However, if you don't think hard, it seems easier to understand than wabi-sabi.

It can be said to be a so-called "antique hobby".
In familiar areas, jeans, sneakers, and other items that have a feeling of use are more comfortable than new items that have just been taken down. Nowadays, new products that have been intentionally damaged are also on sale. You can think of it as such an aesthetic sense.

As the word "Western antique" implies, this seems to be easy to understand even in European countries.
In modern times, I sometimes feel that people from other countries may be closer to me than Japanese people who repeatedly consume large amounts of disposable items. I hear that furniture and furnishings made for grandfathers and grandmothers are also in active use in Europe. In addition, it seems that it is natural for houses to be 100 or 200 years old. In modern Japan, it is no longer possible.

So where did the old men feel it?
Wrinkles carved into a gentle old man, mossy stones, bamboo grove, pine grove, winter sea.
It has a sensation of oozing from the inside, and it has never decayed. It is considered to be established on a very beautiful and exquisite balance.

Speaking of sake sets such as "Gui-drink", the "Kado" is removed by using it, and it changes to moist and glossy, and if it is a glaze, it will penetrate. Drinkers enjoy the change by saying "grow up".
In order to grow sake bottles and sake bottles, it is said that "drink Ikkoku sake". One stone is 100 bottles, 180 liters. Even with a simple calculation, it is a big job that takes about a year to drink 3 go sake every day.
I want to seek the beauty that can only be created by using it so much, and I want to enjoy "My Gui Drink" while feeling the changes every day.

In this way, " Wabi " and "Sabi" have different meanings, and by combining these two, the concept of "beauty" peculiar to Japan is completed for the first time.
"Wabi-sabi" is not a gorgeous thing, it is a very simple thing, but it is a thing that was carefully made considering the user, or a thing that was selected by thinking for a long time. By loving the sun and using it carefully, the beauty that exudes from the inside is born. In other words.
It's a sense of "beauty" that modern Japanese people keep saying "old-fashioned", "bad", and "cool" and have left it somewhere. Nowadays, foreigners are impressed with the beautiful Japanese culture and even feel that they understand it. I feel really lonely as a Japanese.

However, I sincerely hope that the Japanese do not want to forget this wonderful aesthetic sense of "Wabi-Sabi".
